Finals are over!!!

So, okay, I kinda get why you were all so quiet during finals... Bit busy with revision, and all that... It's been a crazy, crazy week and I have been very, very busy. Sorry for the lack of updates! Things should improve now, since I'm back in to the usual swing. That being said, there isn't a whole lot to update about for this week... I took an exam in a big room with lots of other classes... We had to use these little things called treasury tags, and I'm not at all sure I did it right... Its entirely possible I will fail based on my inability to correctly secure my essay together... I'm honestly worried about this, but just keep hoping my marks are sufficiently good to keep me at a "passing" level. I know what my marks, with the exception of finals of course, are but I still don't know if they were passing taken together... It's like a whole other country or something...

Next week I start my film class! Yay! It's suprisingly time intensive, but I think I can handle it. 6 hours of film screening a week and then a 2 hour seminar. And "After Elizabeth" which is just a 2 hour seminar once a week... Were doing Ben Johnson, who I've always liked, so I'm quite looking forward to that. Haven't much to report really... So i'll keep this short. Expect another update on Tues. or Wed. I promise not to get so far behind again, lol. TTYL, TTFN.

Ps. LOOK! A picture of a puppy... Isn't that cute! He looks kind of ashamed, because I'm ashamed of not keeping up this blog... Forgive me and the puppy!

Welcome home, tiny box of digital wonder...

I have my computer back! I lost every bit of data that was on my hard drive! Wow! That's fun! Not really. Big apologies to my parents who lost half of their London photos, and still were kind enough to pay for the necessary repairs. Luckily, I had a fair portion of my stuff saved on disk so the loss is just my MP3s, some of my photos from Italy, a couple games that apparently don't back up on disks too well (damn you Yahoo! Games), and a couple poems which weren't very good anyway.

Still, I'm very glad to have it back since it is my primary mode of preforming schoolwork, talking to my friends and family, and keeping connected with popular culture. How I have missed you The Daily Show. One positive, when I finally got my computer back I had HOURS worth of Daily Show and Colbert Report clips to look forward to. I've spent the last couple hours uploading various programs, tracking down photos, and carefully changing each and every one of my icons back to pictures of GIR, Sparks, and Gonzo.

This picture is one I took in Kew Gardens of a Dale Chihuly exhibit. Virtually all of my pictures are from Kew, because I didn't bother to take my camera with me, figuring I'd mooch of my sister's photos which I'm gonna do. All the same, I did get some good photos of Kew and Glastonbury, which I visited with my parents. It was really neat-o. A very bo-ho,crystal shop-y atmosphere. It was fun. They're all up in my gallery which you can reach through the link under my name or here :http://photobucket.com/albums/b199/im_covered_in_bees/My%20Year%20In%20Exeter/ (UPDATE: I've posted a bunch of my sister's neat-o pics to... Hey, I saw all the same stuff! And I didn't have to carry my conspicuously heavy and large camera... Much as I love it.)

Big excitement this week, I've booked my accomadation in Dublin and Galway and purchased my plane ticket. Thank goodness to, since everything is gone over that weekend I'm going to be there. Apparently, it's a busy time, something about... oh that's right... Frickin' St. Parick's Day! I'm gonna be there, in Dublin, for St. Patrick's Day! Granted, I can't afford to stay there overnight (I just can't rationalize spending $120 a night on BUDGET accomodation- add to that that I'd have to stay on Saturday night as well, with another hefty price tag) so I'm heading out of the city that afternoon to stay in Galway. I'm pretty excited, especially since in Galway I'm paying a much more reasonable $17 a night. Cooly-cool.

So this is a fairly short post, I have more work to do on my computer and I have a couple big assignments hanging over me- next week being finals of course. TTYL, TTFN.

I'm Back!

Hello all! I'm back from the big city! Actually, I've been back for nearly a week, but I've been busy restocking my life, sheperding my parents around South West England, and cursing my BLOODY COMPUTER which has become unhinged again. Looks like its gonna need be professional help this time to... I miss electronics that responded positively to whacking them. Oh well.

But that's why I've not been able to supply any of my own pictures... No way to upload them you see. But I've included a picture of the London Eye done up as an enourmous Catherine Wheel. My sister and aunt were there for the festivities, the rest of us holed up in the boat allowing our agoraphobia to take precedence. 'Course that meant it didn't take us two and a half hours to get home either. And we got to see the look of terror in the apartment above us as one of their bottle rockets made an unexpected entrance into their sitting room... They kept at it though, despite being mildly singed!

All in all it was a great Christmas, and I got to mark a bunch more things off in the "1,000 Places To See Before You Die" book I got for Christmas. I think at last count I was up to 32, so only another 968. Intrestingly, I've seen all of the entries in South Dakota, and only half of those in Montana. But that's probably because all of the entries in South Dakota were on the I-90 corridor right there by Mount Rushmore. No mention of the Corn Palace! Really! I guess the positive news is that I never have to go back to South Dakota again. Hallelujah!

So now it's just a matter of getting back into the swing of school... Just in time for exams to... Joy. Also got my timetable for next semester so I've finally remembered the other course I was taking besides "Comedy, Comedians, and Romance"... It's called "After Elizabeth" and I presume this means after Queen Elizabeth the 1st, although I'd be infinitely more interested in a course detailing the years after Elizabeth the 2nd. That'd be wicked cool prestadigitation!

Kudos go out to Jennie and Amanda both of whom will NOT be recieveing Chia Pets, although the waif thing did not go according to plan... Shipping costs were just way to high, sorry. As for that celebratory post-Derrida drink, I look forward to it PROVIDED we do no talking about Derrida. I left the country to avoid that class! So yes, thats all for now... I'll post again soon, hopefully on my own little box of digital wonder, and until then, TTYL TTFN.
